End of Year RecognitionParticipation AwardsBecause each choir member is equally important and essential to the choir’s over-all performance and progress, EVERY child is recognized for their choir participation.
Attendance AwardsMedal awards are presented to those having only three, two, or one absences or perfect attendance. Careful attendance records are kept and posted each week in each choir. It is these records that will be used to determine awards.
Hymns at HomeEvery family is encouraged to learn songs about Jesus, the Church, the Bible, home, family and God. This can be a happy experience that will enhance family worship time or special times with your children. Each month’s hymn will be featured in the Trinity Tribute with a brief sketch of its background. Please take time to share this information with your child each month. In addition to the list and the first stanza provided below, a CD is made available to each family. Each hymn can be heard sung, and the piano plays alone so that you can sing along as you learn. The hymns can be learned in any order. When it is learned, the PARENT should write a note to the child’s choir director giving the following information:
1) name of the child
2) name of child’s choir
3) month/name of hymn
4) one parent’s signature
Be sure this note goes to the child’s choir director so that accurate records can be kept.
Once learned, a hymn becomes a time capsule, ready to spring to full understand-ing as each child matures. I hope you will join us as we plant God’s Word in the minds and hearts of our children.
